This was used for light during the printing process for photograph printing paper. The lines which were drawn are to indicate the amount of light to the ideal conditions for that particular photographic paper. I have not used anything like this, but thought it is a really neat device for art or professional photography. I was thinking it could be used in a dark room for developing film as well. Overall, if you are a fan of vintage tech and love to do art photography, or use vintage printing, this is the device for you!
